Lean Six Sigma UniversityHistory
History of development
Demand for quality online Lean Six Sigma training has been growing since 2000, the year when the methodology was first introduced in the post-soviet space. By 2009 the number of requests for online LSS training (from foreign entities operating in CIS as well as from local companies) has reached critical level which subsequently encouraged subject matter experts to create the very first online Lean Six Sigma training for Russian speaking world.
By 2009 it also became clear that there was a need to customize Lean Six Sigma approaches specifically for Russian speaking audience. In 2010 responding to requests from international and local companies the most successful Lean Six Sigma experts joined their efforts under the brand Lean Six Sigma University to develop services for companies operating in CIS countries.
In 2010 the first wave of specialists completed the training in the University, and they were not only on receiving end, but they also contributed to further development of the company and helped to promote its services.
In 2011 taking into account initial feedback on training and consulting quality, and having completed extensive study of customers’ needs the University was able to build a very efficient training and certification system; the most sought-after courses, Yellow and Green Belt, were offered to corporate clients.
In 2012 Yellow and Green Belt courses were augmented with new materials, Black Belt training was developed, and also separate courses on Lean tools were created.
In 2013 instructor-led and online trainings became available to all applicants. Glossary and Lean Six Sigma Workshop were added to the University’s website. Implementation and deployment programs were put together and offered to customer-companies.
Currently the University continues its efforts in providing high quality training, certification and consulting services.
